The Great personality whose achievement
and dedication for the welfare of India and his people could take India at
the summit of fame and reputation is none but Henry Louis Vivian
Derozio. He saw the first ray of this earth on 18’th April, 1809 by Francia Derozio and Sophia Johnson Derozio at Entally in Kolkata, He
studied in his childhood in David
Drummond’s Dharmatala Academy. He also studied in private school for higher education.
On his latter life, he became the teacher of English literature and History in Hindu college. He was a great writer. Some of his notable
works are “To India”, ”My Native
land”, “The Harp Of India” etc. He left his mortal frame on 26’th December,1831.
