- Vidyasagar Street – This is a famous street in Central Kolkata which bears his name.
- Vidyasagar University – This is a famous University in Kolkata which bears and respect the name of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. Similarly, there is also a Vidyasagar university. The location of both college and university is in Purbo Midnapore.
- Vidyasagar Mela – This refers to a fair named after Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. Furthermore, the dedication of this fair is towards spreading education and social awareness.The fair has been taking place on an annual basis in West Bengal since 1994.
- Vidyasagar Setu – This is commonly known as the Second Hooghly Bridge. It refers to a bridge over the Hooghly River. Furthermore, this bridge is in West Bengal, India. Moreover, the bridge links the city of Howrah to its twin city of Kolkata.

Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar
The Great personality who have glorified our motherland India with their conspicuous activities, performance and contribution to nation are onforgottable and are in the heart of every Indian. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar was one of them. He saw the first ray of this earth on 26th september 1820 at Birsingh in Hoogly blessed by Thakur Das Bandhyapadhya and Bhagabati Devi. After completion of primary education in village pathsala, he went to Kolkata with his father and admitted into Sanskrit Collage to study for higher education. He was a polymath, philosophy educator, writer, reformer etc.
In later life, he joined Fort William college as professor. Then he joined Hindu College as the Principal. He brought about a revolution in the Bangali education with his writtings "Barna Porichay". Due to his vast knowladge, he was conferred the title "vidya Sagar" and Due to kindness he also got the title "Dayar Sagar", With his tiredless effort the window Rammarridge was passed on July 26,1856. This great person breathed his last on 20th july, 1891. He is no more but he is in the core of every Bangali's and Indian's heart.
